James is a dedicated environmental health professional specialising in the Private Rented Sector (PRS), with four years of experience in local authority environmental health. His deep understanding of property management regulations and challenges positions him as a valuable resource in this field.

James graduated with an Honours Degree from Reading University in 1996 and pursued postgraduate studies in Education and Law. He is dedicated to energy efficiency and sustainability, holding certifications in HHSRS and as an ABBE Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor, alongside being a Level 4 Regulatory Compliance Officer and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

James's diverse career experiences extend beyond environmental health, having worked in aviation, teaching, and credit control. This versatility highlights his ability to adapt and thrive in various environments.

With a proven track record of addressing and resolving environmental issues within the PRS, James is committed to ensuring safe, compliant living conditions for tenants. His expertise and passion for enhancing housing standards demonstrate his ongoing dedication to public health and environmental protection, making him a key advocate for improving the quality of life in our communities.

Susan Bolderson

Environmental Health Officer

Susan is an accomplished Environmental Health Officer with extensive experience in housing standards and public health initiatives. With a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Leeds Metropolitan University and various certifications, including NEBOSH and HHSRS.  With a strong academic foundation in Environmental Health, Susan combines her qualifications with proven leadership skills to effectively manage compliance teams and address complex environmental challenges.

Her professional journey features a significant tenure as a Senior Environmental Health Officer at Aberdeenshire Council, where she oversaw a dedicated team that tackled various environmental health challenges, particularly those related to private water supplies in the region. This experience, along with her earlier role as a Housing Standards Officer, laid a solid foundation for her expertise in environmental protection and housing compliance.

In addition to her regulatory work, Susan demonstrates a profound commitment to community development.

With a unique blend of practical skills, including leadership, and community engagement, Susan is dedicated to enhancing public health and making a positive impact in the communities she serves. Her commitment to improving quality of life reflects her dedication to her profession and the people she supports.
